Byron Museum of History, Byron, IL


The Byron Museum of History is found in the center of the town. Many artifacts and displays from the local history, including exhibits on the Rock River, the Underground Railroad, the Civil War and much more. Beside the museum stands the Lucius Read House, which was built in 1843. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm or by appointment.
