Cape Mudge, Quadra Island, Canada
When Captain Vancouver landed on Quadra Island in 1792, the Coast Salish People inhabited the area. Vancouver decided to name the southwest shore destination Cape Mudge after his first lieutenant on the H.M.S. Discovery, Zachary Mudge. Today this village is home to the We Wai Kai band of the Laichwiltach People and is filled with the wealth of their culture. Visitors to Cape Mudge are invited to view the spectacular artifacts at the Kwagiulth Museum and Cultural Centre of Cape Mudge or stay at Tsa-Kwa Luten Lodge and RV Park, a full service resort. Those admirers of natural beauty may appreciate Cape Mudge
