Carnegie Branch Library, Boulder, CO


Rebuilt in 1983 for the purpose of housing the local history materials overflowing at the main branch of the public library, the Carnegie Branch reopened with the added title of Library for Local History. Over 200,000 photographs and 700,000 manuscripts, including newspapers and letters are available for public use. The building has been restored to include the original marble fireplace, pine flooring and leaded windows. Hours of operation are Monday 1pm-9pm, Tuesday 11am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm and Thursday-Saturday 11am-5pm.
