Cathedral Provincial Park, Keremeos, Canada
This 33,000-hectare (82,000 acre) wilderness area in the Okanagan mountain range borders Washington and contains rock formations with names like Stone City, Devil's Woodpile and Smokey the Bear, as well as the turqoise Cathedral Lakes. Watch for mule deer, mountain goat and California bighorn sheep. Camping, hiking trails, picnic area, angling are all popular activities. Cathedral Lakes Lodge is also located here.
