Fayette Historic State Park, , MI


Encompassing 711 acres (288 ha) of land, Fayette Historic State Park is home to historic townsite that was bustling in the 1880s, but lays dormant today. Interpreters relate the story of this once prosperous town. Other activities include scuba diving in Snail Shell Harbor, hiking, cross-country skiing, picnicking, swimming and fishing. The park also features a campground that has 3 mi (5 km) of shoreline on Big Bay de Noc.
