Gadsby, Alexandria, VA
Gadsby's Tavern survives today as a historic house museum, and is one of the few 18th century Tavern-museums in the United States. The two buildings, a 1792 hotel and a 1770 tavern were named for Englishman John Gadsby who owned them. Experience the history, architecture, decorative arts, social customs, food, and clothing of the time.
