Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, Brunswick, GA
Located in the marshlands of the Altamaha River, this plantation symbolizes more than a century of coastal Georgia's history. It became a center for rice cultivation in 1907, and grew to 7,300 acres of land. A museum on the property interprets a working rice plantation, as well as the lives of the planters and slaves.
