Kalamalka Lake and Provincial Park, Vernon, Canada

The provincial park surrounding Kalamalka Lake is a treasure of trove of outdoor activities that typify the Okanagan's popularity, from watersports to camping, birdwathing to cross-country skiing. Ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir abound in the area, and wildflowers bring a profusion of colour to the otherwise green and brown environment. There are nature trails throughout. Boating, fishing, waterskiing are all permitted in this park, but regulations should be verified beforehand.
