Kennebec River, , MA


Flowing 120 mi (193 km) from Moosehead Lake to the Atlantic Ocean, the Kennebec River features nine dams, which can cause the river's water to rise dramatically in a short period of time. The river flows through the centers of Waterville, Bingham and Augusta, among many others. The river is well-known as a fishing and rafting destination.
