La Branche Plantation Dependency House, Shreveport, LA
Built in 1792, this is the closest plantation to New Orleans. The grounds include the largest standing Garconniere on the banks of the Mississippi, authentic slave quarters, and the largest pecan tree in Louisiana. Tours are held seven days a week from 10-4.
