Lake Superior, , Canada
Lake Superior is the largest of the five Great Lakes and is also the largest freshwater lake in the entire world, with a surface area of 82,000 sq km (32,000 sq mi). The lake seperates the province of Ontario and the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. The lake is fed by over 200 rivers and the Sault Locks at Sault Ste. Marie allow ships to travel between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes.
