Montezuma Castle National Monument, Camp Verde, AZ
Each year roughly one million people head to Camp Verde to see the Montezuma Castle National Monument. Formed by the Sinagua Indians around 1200 a.d., the park was designated as a national monument in 1906. Carved into the side of the limestone cliffs in Verde Valley, visitors can see the five-story home, 20-room home of the early people of the area.
