Mound Key Archaeological State Park, Estero, FL


Mound Key is located in Estero Bay, and is accessible only by boat. Interpretive displays guide visitors through the rich history of the island, which was originally created by Calusa tribe. Canoeing and kayaking are popular, however visitors should be aware that alligators are year-round residents of the area. There are no facilities on this island.
