Ohio River, , PA


The Ohio River begins at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Stretching 981 mi (1579 km), the river ends when it joins the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois. The river flows through or along the border of 14 states and was an important part of Native American life.
