Prince Kuhio Park, Po'ipu Beach, HI


Born on the small island of Kauai in 1871, Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole became one of Hawaii's favorite dignitaries. Kuhio fought for native Hawaiian rights and was the last heir to the country's throne. His birthday, March 26, became a state holiday. Visitor's can tour his birthplace, which is near Po'ipu Beach. To get there follow Lawai Road.
