Ruby Lake Resort Bird Sanctuary, Madeira Park, Canada
The Ruby Lake Bird Sanctuary is home to over 80 species of birds throughout the year, including one of the highest concentrations of wood ducks in British Columbia. Other birds that are commonly seen at the sanctuary include blue herons, bald eagles, tree swallows, kingfishers, hawks, ospreys, turkey vultures and hummingbirds. Every summer the Annual Wood Duck Wilderness Festival takes place at Ruby Lake Bird Sanctuary.
