Ruby Mountains, , NV
Located east of Elko, the Ruby Mountains are a narrow range of mountains that span 60 mi (96 km) across northern Nevada. Frequented by outdoor enthusiasts, these mountains are used for hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, rock climbing and a wealth of other activities. Some of the peaks pass the 10,000 ft (3,000 m) mark, inlcuding the 11,387 ft (3,470) Ruby Dome.
