Sandy Point State Reservation, Ipswich, MA
Sandy Point State Reservation can be found on Plum Island, a barrier island on the Atlantic coast. This park opens one half-hour before sunrise and closes at 8pm daily. This 77 acres of reserve land is known as an important nesting ground of the piping plover, and visitors may be able to catch a glimpse of this federally endangered bird while exploring the island.
