Santa Fe National Historic Trail, , KS
This historic trail served as a highway connecting Missouri and Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the 19th century. Covering ground in New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, the trail was used by fur traders, adventurers, stagecoach lines and thousands of gold seekers. A number of historic sites are located along the trail, and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation.
