Searights Toll House, Uniontown, PA


Searights Toll House was built in 1835 on the National Road to collect tolls from travelers going east and west on the first interstate in the United States. Serving as a home for the toll collectors until 1905, Searights Toll House is one of two such structures remaining in Pennsylvania. It is open for tours from mid-May through mid-October.
