Vancouver's famous 400 hectare (1000 acre) park is spectacular and one of Vancouver's most popular attractions. The view from the shoreline of the park is amazing, it is sometimes possible to see Vancouver Island, and the mountains across Burrard Inlet. The park is full of character, which is enhanced by the eclectic variety of visitors to the park. People-watching here is amongst the finest available anywhere. Stanley Park has some beautiful gardens, including English-style rose gardens. Another famous feature here is the collection of Haida Indian totem poles.
