The Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael, CA
Completed in 1969, 10 years after the death of its designer Frank Lloyd Wright, the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael stands as an example of Wright's unique creations. As demonstrated in many of this works, Wright attempted to blend the center in with its surrounding using rock, steel and concrete, circular patterns and Oriental themes. Tours of the building are offered every Wednesday at 10:30am or by appointment for groups of 10 or more.
