Walden Pond State Reservation, Concord, MA


Walden Pond is famous for inspiring Henry David Thoreau to write the book Walden, which has inspired generations to maintain a respect for the natural world. This park is a popular destination for fishing, swimming and hiking, however the number of people allowed in the park at one time is limited to 1000 in order to ensure that the park retains it's natural beauty.
