Wingspread Conference Center, Wind Point, WI

Frank Lloyd Wright was asked to build a residence for one of the SC Johnson company owners, which would be known as Wingspread. Constructed from 1938 to 1939, the house resembles a four-winged pinwheel. Each wing had a different use: one for the master bedroom, one for cooking and eating, one for the children and one for guests. The center of the home was the living area. Public tours are offered Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30am to 3pm, unless the building is hosting a conference.
